Job Description
Clow Valves Metal Casting Facility has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic.
3rd Shift Position
Starting Wage: $26.86
$1500 sign on bonus after 120 day probationary period
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Repairing maintaining installing lubricating troubleshooting and adjusting machines and equipment.
- Performing routine inspection on Metal Casting Facility equipment.
- Perform routine lubrication and cleaning of Metal Casting Facility equipment.
- Perform minor repairs on hydraulic pneumatic and electrical equipment and machines.
- Use of common hardware including: bolts pipe fittings etc.
- Preventative maintenance of Metal Casting Facility equipment and machinery.
- Operate fork trucks lifts and conveyors.
- Welding and minor fabrications.
- General clean up of area
Qualifications :
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending pushing pulling reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.
- Standing & walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left kneel squat & climb using arms and legs.
- Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp flex extend exert force wear gloves & utilize tools.
- Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions inside & outside including but not limited to working on slippery uneven unstable surfaces.
- Ability to work with hands in water around machinery at unprotected heights with dust & fumes & operate a crane truck forklift & other moving vehicles.
- Applicant must have 2-4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience preferably in an industrial/ manufacturing setting.
- Tech degree is a strong plus.
- Ability to wear applicable PPE including: safety glasses metatarsal guarded boots hearing protection respirators welding mask etc.
- Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
