Position: Full Time Office Coordinator/Medical Assistant

Department: Damascus Primary Care

Shift: Days 8:00a-4:30p

PURPOSE

The primary purpose of your position as an Office Coordinator is to perform assigned duties in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the Director of Outreach Services to assure that a successful viable office is maintained at all times. Your duty is to act as a supportive management assistant to the Director of Outreach Services. You will be given general guidelines and direction but are expected to function with initiative and creativity with the objective of office efficiency and technical excellence. May work on special projects both independently and with the Director. Will work closely with the Director in providing direction and supervision of the employees. Must interact with a patient population which includes infants adolescents and geriatrics therefore must be able to identify the special needs of each patient according to age and respond appropriately. Under the supervision of a licensed physician(s) and the Director of Outreach Services performs selected administrative/clerical duties that assist in patient care management. A detailed summary of your duties and responsibilities is as outlined.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements/training:

High school diploma plus technical or vocational training.

Experience:

2 years minimum experience in office setting.

Job Skills:

Requires reading and understanding of moderately complex or detailed documents containing some unusual words and phrases. Requires arithmetic ability to add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers. Some typing or word processing is required general forms and/or internal memos or short letters. Requires computer skills for basic data entry and retrieval. Experience using and documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Ten finger keyboard typing skills are required.
