Qualifications:
Texas Driver License
Peace Officer License and at least an Intermediate Peace Officer certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement
Must have at least three years experience as a Katy ISD Police Officer or a law enforcement officer at an agency of comparable size or larger performing police patrol investigative or administrative duties
Prior supervisory experience (preferred)
Experience as a Field Training Officer (preferred)
Some college hours (preferred)
Must be able to work any shift day evening and night with varied days off
Primary Purpose:
As a first line supervisor and under direct supervision of the Patrol Lieutenant and Operations Captain oversees directs and supervises all activities of assigned personnel provides law enforcement services where needed and provides a positive adult presence among students.

District vehicles lethal and less lethal weapons firearms handcuffs alarm systems security equipment personal computer typewriter and copier.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress; strenuous walking standing and climbing; ability to operate a motor vehicle; ability to control sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others and exhibit rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; may be subject to adverse and hazardous working conditions including violent and armed confrontations; work outdoors in varying climate conditions; drive in different areas of district at odd hours; and may be on call 24 hours a day.
