Overview

CHI Lisbon Health is a 20 bed Critical Access Hospital with a 24 hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. Responsibilities

As our Medical Surgical/Swing Bed Nurse at CHI Lisbon Health youll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our units. You will provide care to patients of all ages experiencing a variety of medical illnesses including but not limited to pulmonary cardiovascular disease/illness wound care infectious diseases GI and GU issues; as well as respite and end of life care.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others - with a patient-first mindset. Keen assessment skills critical thinking and a sense of urgency support your career advancement and you thrive in a changing clinical environment where you will rarely experience the same day twice.

It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process. As a Nurse you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patients individual physician. This will involve utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.

What youll do...

  • Monitoring patients conditions and assessing their needs
  • Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Administering patients medications and providing treatments according to physicians orders
  • Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  • Administer medications change dressings monitor vital signs and chart with timely documentation
  • Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work care coordination physical therapy occupational therapy lab respiratory therapy and imaging

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school or college ofnursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Dakota.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree innursingis preferred.
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire.

  • TNCC within 6 months of hire.
