About the Role:

Infrastructure & Cloud Services are at the forefront of everything from Cloud to Networking Data Centres to virtual servers/servers (Windows and Linux) as well as desktops Licensing and mobile phones! Every piece of infrastructure at Head office in the stores the warehouses for the website or the contact centre are supported by this area. Central services such as Microsoft Azure GSuite and GCP file services Citrix Active Directory (and much more) are all provided and supported by this area.

Technology drives what we do. Plain and simple. As were going through a huge change as a business we need a solid team with us who are committed to driving our systems forward.

About You:

As a DevOps Engineer youll play a key part in this. Your focus will be on migrating our on-premise platforms to the cloud working in alignment with our Development teams and providing Cloud environment knowledge. Youll do this using different technologies:

  • Infrastructure-as-code Terraform
  • Azure DevOps (on-premises and cloud) CI/CD pipelines automated builds/releases
  • Docker containers Kubernetes microservices SonarQube Helm charts
  • PowerShell scripts
  • SQL Server database Windows & Linux servers
  • Core Core C# TFS
  • Use monitoring tools for Applications Servers & Services diagnostics

In addition were looking for you to be:

  • Able to speak read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role for example to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members
  • Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team

As a DevOps Engineer youll be guiding project teams on how to use our environments in the best way possible as well as working with our brilliant in-house Auditing and Security teams. Youll have a direct impact on the migration projects we have in the works so get ready to make your mark!

Youll be doing all this from our South Elmsall office in Yorkshire on a hybrid basis with potential to have regular visits to our Leicestershire Head Office.
