Team purpose
To drive local to global influencing efforts by establishing a cohesive and relevant advocacy campaign child rights governance and child participation agenda aligned with our global strategy thereby driving impact at scale. By leveraging evidence and analysis and promoting a culture of learning we ensure a child rights approach is embedded in all our initiatives while partnering with country offices to prepare scale-up and execute effective operational humanitarian advocacy efforts. Our team co-owns the delivery of advocacy campaigning and mobilization strategies and leads child participation approaches across all programs to empower children and amplify their voices in decision-making processes.
Role purpose
To ensure the alignment of humanitarian advocacy with Save the Children Internationals global strategy PAC strategy and and international standards the Senior Humanitarian Advocacy Advisor will directly provide expert advocacy guidance training and capacity building to country offices as well as other external stakeholders where required fostering a culture of continuous learning and development to respond to high priority & categorised responses as well as wider humanitarian contexts. Additionally the role involves representing Save the Children in high-level forums engaging with decision makers and leveraging existing networks to advance our operational humanitarian advocacy objectives ultimately contributing to the positive impact on humanitarian policies affecting children. This role will also support wider thought leadership and promotion of best practices in key themes such as Children and Armed Conflict protection of childrens rights in protracted crises and humanitarian action
