ABOUT THE POSITION:

The position is suitable for experienced practitioners who are able to work independently and are excited to build up our Allied Health team in NSW! The successful candidate will be integrally involved in building the NSWspeech pathology team and referral base and will be supported remotely by SAL Consulting Speech Pathologists in other States and Territories. One the ground support will also be provided by the wider trans-disciplinary team of practitioners across the SAL Consulting team.

The successful candidate will be given an opportunity to participate in improving other peoples lives by delivering high-quality person-centred services working with a range of clientsacross a range of care needs from short-term involvement to complex long-term needs. This will involve but is not limited to:

  • assessing diagnosing and managing clients who present with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders;
  • providing client support including clinic or home-based sessions training and resource development;
  • working with low and high tech ACC.

Our office is based in Pennant Hills. The position will requireregular travel around the Sydneymetro area and occasional regional travel. Opportunities for interstate / remote area projects are available to our team of practitioners at is also an option to work from home for administration / report writing.

The successful candidate will also be able to access Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) training through SAL Consulting.



Skills And Experiences

Essential Criteria:

  1. A degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.

Desirable Experience Interest and Skills:

  1. Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs;
  2. Experience in conducting Communication assessmentstreatment planning and intervention for children adolescents and adults with a wide range of presentations; and Mealtime Management.
  3. Experience in supervision and mentoring of staff.

Due to the nature of our business it is required that our staff:

  • have a current Drivers Licence;
  • have a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening or the ability to attain these checks;
