GHD has an excellent opportunity for aSenior Project Managerto develop andimplement the expansion of GHDs Transportation team. Areas of expertise include rail and related transportation services. You will assist leadership in developing relationships with key clients state and local government and business partners. You will support our current staff and clients while building new relationships through business development.

Responsibilities of the position are but not limited to:
Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in small medium and large-scale rail roadway and general civil engineering projects across the US.
- Project Management: You will lead large project teams (or multiple small- to medium-sized teams); coordinate team actions across project activities; coordinate the flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed; and build the capability of the team through training coaching and mentoring.
- Project Resource Management: Manage deployment of project resource budgets providing forecasts and presenting variances with narrative at appropriate review points to ensure effective utilization.
- Technical Oversight: You will oversee technical review of work and assign subject matter experts to review deliverables that are outside of your area of expertise.
- Portfolio Management: For several of our key clients you will transition into being the Client Account Manager who is responsible for developing new business being apprised of all activities that GHD has with select clients and serving as a mediator between GHDs Project Managers and the client for feedback and areas of improvement.
- Emergency Response on-site: Up to one week a month you will travel to sites across the US for emergency response project work. You will complete all eRailSafe courses across all applicable railroads as well as air and water monitoring courses plus all other applicable courses that will be provided to you by GHD.
- Emergency Response in-office: After on-site work has finished you will work with stakeholders to develop repair strategies for track structures and other infrastructure that may have been damaged during the incident.
- Business Development:Identify new clients as well as cross-selling of services to existing clients. Create and deliver presentations to clients to show what GHD can do and also learn what clients needs/wants are. Help clients create RFPs respond to existing RFPs and lead Proposal Teams to win new work.
- Leadership and Direction: Communicate the actions needed to implement the groups strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organizations mission vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to achieve local business goals.
- Executive Management: You will help to identify teaming partners and potential acquisition targets and work with senior leadership to implement growth strategies.
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
Experience
- General Experience: 10 to 15 years in Civil / Mechanical Engineering managing projects for rail and private clients
- Managerial Experience: 5 years experience overseeing junior engineers and coordinating with intermediate and senior engineers
- Business Development: 5 years experience reviewing RFPs creating Proposals and meeting with clients to develop new work.
Salary: $110400.00 - $184000.00
In-office expectation is a minimum of three days a week in our Golden CO office.
