WHHS Computer Tech Liaison
- General
- Serve and work with committees as needed.
- Promotes advises and assists teachers and school staff with creation implementation and coordination of the technology component of the school long-range plan.
- Coordinate inflow of donated technology hardware.
- Serve as primary contact for school specific software and hardware.
- Maintain knowledge of general technology dependencies of the school. Collaborate with peer coordinators.
- Coordinating operation and maintenance of 30 network printers.
- Insure all students have completed AUP/MDA.
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of toner maintenance kits imagining units.
- Serve as technical point of contact between school and CPS ITM for major project planning and implementation.
- Maintain documentation.
- Students
- Support students who need laptop issue resolution or full exchange of laptop with another device.
- Support students who need software issue resolution.
- Demonstrate possible tech problem solutions to the student to assist them in solving tech issues themselves.
- Teachers
- Help teachers support their students with specific tech problems occurring while in the classroom.
- Tech support of admins counselors teachers and staff in using technology for presentations in Auditorium off-site events and classrooms.
- Assist teachers to determine their software needs and resolve problems they encounter.
- Coordinate teachers requests for special or additional software needed for their classes. Assist with ATI submission.
- Help resolve printing issues teachers encounter.
- Software integration/purchasing after requested by teachers (ATI submission).
- Staff
- Tech support for Testing Coordinator - online state testing.
- During-test technology support for students.
- Assist administrators and guest lecturers with technology and presentation requirements.
- Keeps principal informed of progress and use of technology in the building.
- Parents
- Reach out to parents (using email Schoology and phone support) regarding resolution of any parent-reported issues.
- The goal - quick support of their student to resolve specific laptop issues (replacement sometimes necessary).
- Parents were accommodated during remote learning with quick laptop swaps made on campus via appointments.
- Tech support of Parent Association monthly meetings in recital hall testing and set up projector/laptop cart for presentation in Recital Hall.
- Tech support of Parent Association WalnutFest annual fundraising auction.
- ITM/MT
- Triage equipment problems and resolve or pass on to MT technicians.
- Troubleshoots technical problems with printers computers networks and makes arrangements for repairs using the district maintenance and repair procedures.
- Communicates with district technology personnel to assure school compliance with district technology standards.
- Coordinates AUPs.
- Report lost/stolen devices to ITM.
- Assist ITM Device Management with maintaining inventory and tracking of devices. Sign off on device DMT inventory reports.
- Communicate to ITM instructional software requirements licensing media websites (both free and subscription).
- Assign/unassign student and staff devices in One2One Management system.
- Manage contingency devices and inventory. Coordinate break/fix device swaps and devices for new students.
- Manage contingency supply of spare charger cords and other cables/adapters.

Attend five mandatory Technology Coordinator Professional Development Sessions with ITM to be informed of technical developments in district/school and communicate that information to principal and end users.
