Job Summary:
This 24 bed critical care unit houses patients being admitted for cardiac thoracic and vascular care. This unit also entails ICU and PCU levels of care. Each private room is large enough to house all necessary pumps and equipment while allowing for space for family support (when allowed). This includes CRRT Impella IABP and ventilators. Staffing is based on national standards of care and includes: 2:1 1:1 1:2 and 1:3.
Essential Duties:
Provides continuous cardiac monitoring arrhythmia recognition and intervention.
Initiates and titrates multiple complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.
Manages intubated/mechanically ventilated patients.
Manages patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events.
Manages acute trauma patients.
