Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in management engineering technology or physical sciences preferred OR Equivalent previous supervisory experience and /or training
- 5 years previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting
Summary of essential job functions
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and leading a team of roughly 15 production employees
- Ensuring proper material handling safety and environmental procedures are practiced
- Cross training new employees
- Calculating and approving employee time cards
- Following and staying up to date with the production schedule
- Tracking and issuing safety supplies and other tools to employees as needed
- Tracking all materials that are on site both company stock and customer materials
- Keeping the production area yard and materials neat and organized
- Assisting with month end inventory as needed
- Communicating with the General Manager Supervisor(s) and Sales personnel as necessary
- Filling in when necessary
- Answering and resolving questions and problems as they arise
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally is mandatory
- Team player who is motivated and possesses problem solving decision making analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work 10 hour shifts or until the job is complete outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast paced work environment
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred
- Ability to occasionally move / lift items weighing up to 100 lbs.
