Job Description
Facility: Providence Saint Johns Health Center
Location: 2121 Santa Monica Blvd Santa Monica CA 90404
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 - 15:30 (5x8)
Pay Rate: $77/hr (W2) $82/hr (1099)
- Administer accurate radiation treatment to oncology patients.
- Operate Varian linear accelerator machines with precision.
- Calculate and verify prescribed radiation doses.
- Conduct tumor localization and utilize imaging systems (CBCT/kV/mV).
- Create and manage custom molds and shields for individualized patient care.
- Follow all radiation safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Document all treatments using Epic and treatment planning systems (Pinnacle Eclipse).
- Collaborate with oncologists physicists and dosimetrists for optimal patient outcomes.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
- ARRT (T) certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiation Therapy).
- Proficient in EPIC charting system.
- Experience with Varian machines IMRT and external beam therapy.
- Experience with treatment planning systems: Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian).
- Experience in:
- Beam modifying/positioning
- Custom shield/block cutting
- Portal casting
- Dose calculation
- Isolation precautions and code response
