Job Title: Appian BPM / Swift Expert
Location: San Francisco CA

Job Description
We are seeking a Payment Specialist with Swift Domain Expertise to support the development and testing of a Payment Investigations Application and Swift Module using Appian BPM.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to interpret and apply Swift standards (MT/MX FIN ISO 20022 into agile requirements (user stories SBE BDD).
- Define workflows and case types for payment issues such as missing funds duplicate payments and AML alerts.
- Ensure compliance with global regulations (FATF PSD2 AML) within case tracking and workflow automation.
- Develop business rules for automated case creation routing escalation and closure based on Swift message triggers.
- Recommend updates based on annual Swift standards releases.
- Coordinate with Swift for certification scope and support designation for SWIFT Compatible Application.
- Assist Appian teams with compliance to CSP and Customer Security Controls Framework.
- Support testing and certification for FINplus environments and message validation tools.
- Validate test cases and product designs against Swift logic and banking standards.
- Provide traceability between Swift message fields and system metadata/workflows.
- Act as liaison with Swift to ensure technical and legal compliance.
- Engage regularly with clients and Appian product managers.
Required Qualifications
- Swift Certified Expert with minimum 3 certifications.
- Strong understanding of Swift messaging standards and ISO 20022.
- Experience with Appian BPM and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (FATF PSD2 AML).
- Proven ability to support QA testing and certification processes.
