SIE is looking for a Resident Engineer with New York State Department of Transportation experience to join our firm on a project in the Bronx NY. The ideal candidate will have highway and bridge experience and have a strong familiarity with NYSDOT projects.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor contractors work.
- Lead and conduct progress meetings
- Manage direct reports including Inspectors and Office Engineer
- Ensure the construction is as per plan and specifications
- Manage daily logs submittals change orders estimates invoices
- Ensure safety of the construction project
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in New York
- 5 years of experience as a Resident Engineer
- 15 years of experience in NYSDOT projects including highways and bridges.
- Experience with NYSDOT strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and work ethic
- A demonstrated ability to administer all project general and technical data and reports to communicate verbally and in writing to all parties involved
Expected salary range is $156000 - $200000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individuals qualifications skills experience and physical work location.
