What you will be doing:
- Support senior chefs in the execution of menu items
- Food preparation and cooking plating presentation
- Ensure proper storage and labelling of food items
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation
- Kitchen maintenance and cleaning following food safety requirements
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in the creation of new menu items and specials
- Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
- Participate in kitchen inventory management
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
- Assist in the training of kitchen apprentices and new staff members
- Contribute to the maintenance of kitchen equipment
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking methods and technologies
