Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Ascend Cloud Foundation Platform team.

Were looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality of our cloud-based applications. Youll bring a strong background in test automation AWS batch processing and large-scale backend systems and thrive in agile environments. As a key member of the QA team youll contribute to test planning develop automation frameworks and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold high quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in defining and executing test plans and strategies
• Design develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional integration regression and performance testing
• Collaborate with developers product managers and DevOps to integrate quality throughout the SDLC
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing
• Support defect triaging and root cause analysis
• Advocate for best practices in testing including shift-left approaches

Required skills/ experience:

• Experience in Quality Assurance with experience in a senior or advanced role
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies agile testing and SDLC practices
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium Cypress or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo
• Experience with API testing and SQL
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as Glue S3 Step Functions Lambdas EventBridge and SQS
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g. Java Python Scala JavaScript)
• Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks

Advantageous experience:

• Experience with Big Data testing
• Mentor Junior QA engineers
• Proficiency in SQL and Data validation
• Knowledge of Performance Testing tools
• Familiarity to AI/ML Model Testing
• Basic understanding of security testing

• Bachelors degree in Computer science Engineering or relative working experience
