Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Director of Talent & Culture assessing organizational needs developing aligned HR solutions and implementing strategies in the areas of employee relations recruitment & retention benefits recognition and colleague development.
- Overseeing the day-to-day administration of the Talent & Culture Office
- Be a role model within the hotel and exhibit and practice professional leadership skills that are fully aligned and in support of our culture.
- Counseling and coaching colleagues on job related issues career development and performance management.
- Foster and promote positive Colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication trust and mutual respect.
- Advise and assist with the interpretation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures and applicable legislation
- Implement action plans to maintain positive employee relations development meaningful initiatives including communication and training strategies.
- Championing certain Health and Safety programs and initiatives including WCB administration Modified Duty Programs and injury prevention.
- Managing of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) including data integrity and report writing
- Oversee the administering employee benefit programs and 401 K Program including enrolment terminations updating employee status and changes education assisting with queries and concerns and ensuring correct monthly billing
- Providing monthly HR statistics and reports including health and safety report
Qualifications :
- University/College degree or diploma preferably with a formal education in Human Resources Management
- Minimum of three years hospitality experience in a Human Resources leadership position
- Proven ability to develop trusting relationships and encourage an open environment which reflects the Mission Vision and Values of our hotel and Company
- Successful track record in professionally addressing & resolving difficult and challenging issues at all employee levels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills complimented by professional maturity strong leadership skills and business acumen
- Self-confident creative and proactive able to prioritize and make effective decisions
- Strong computer and technical skills in a variety of technology platforms
Physical Aspects of the Position (include but are not limited to):
- Consistent office duties involving desk work and computer tasks
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to stand walk and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
