Job Description
Job Title: Parts Manager Cumberland Kia
Location: Cookeville TN
Department: Parts
Reports To: General Manager / Fixed Operations Director
Job Type: Full-Time On-Site
Position Summary:
Cumberland Kia is seeking an experienced results-driven Parts Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our Kia parts department. The ideal candidate will be highly organized customer-focused and capable of managing inventory staff vendor relationships and departmental performance. This role is essential in supporting both our service department and retail customers with timely accurate parts availability and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the parts department ensuring efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee inventory management: order receive stock and track parts.
- Maintain proper inventory levels to support service and collision departments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers ensuring accurate pricing and timely deliveries.
- Monitor and manage parts gross profit sales performance and expense control.
- Lead train and supervise parts staff to ensure high levels of customer service and team performance.
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking special orders returns and warranties.
- Collaborate with the service and sales departments to meet shared operational goals.
- Maintain manufacturer standards for compliance reporting and warranty processing (Kia-specific requirements).
- Use dealer management systems (DMS) effectivelyexperience with CDK Drive or similar preferred.
- Generate reports on department performance and KPIs presenting regular updates to leadership.
- Ensure a clean organized and professional parts environment for both employees and customers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 23 years of experience as a Parts Manager in a dealership environment (Kia or other OEM preferred).
- Strong understanding of automotive parts operations pricing structures and inventory control.
- Experience using dealership management systems (DMS) and electronic parts catalogs.
- Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to meet performance goals and manage departmental financials.
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Kia parts systems and manufacturer guidelines.
- Familiarity with CDK Drive or comparable DMS platforms.
- ASE or manufacturer parts certifications are a plus.
