As we evolve from a technical consultancy into a strategic advisory consultancy were looking for passionate colleagues to help shape our direction and establish Xodus as an energy consulting firm. Our European and Asia Pacific advisory business serves a wide range of blue chip and midcap clients on transactions management energy project assessment on a global basis

Purpose of the Role

Were hiring a client-focused Energy Advisory Principal Consultant to lead the growth and delivery of our advisory services with US clients and the US this role you will guide clients through complex decision-making lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to industry transformation.

The Opportunity

• Lead and adapt advisory services in the U.S. energy sector
• Guide clients through transition management due diligence carbon strategies and project development
• Develop partnerships across government private and investment sectors
• Collaborate globally to deliver impactful integrated advisory outcomes
• Mentor internal teams and drive innovation across the practice

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the client acquisition and client engagement in the US for our Advisory services
• Lead projects in transaction management (due diligence) carbon management ESG sustainability and energy systems planning
• Craft scopes contribute to proposals and participate in pursuits with business development teams
• Represent Xodus in thought leadership forums panels and publications
• Collaborate with delivery teams for seamless execution and client satisfaction
• Support the recruitment and development of advisory staff

Qualifications Skills & Behaviors

• 8 years in oil and gas (upstream or midstream) energy advisory consulting or technical strategy
• Experience in smaller companies or trade journalism valued
• Experience working with senior clients regulators or cross-sector partners
• Strong communicator and collaborator with a problem-solving mindset
• Bachelors degree in engineering environmental science sustainability or economics

This role will be based out of our Houston office with flexibility in work hours Xodus employees typically attend the office at least twice a week in our Houston office and we support hybrid work arrangements that empower personal and professional balance.
