The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. We are seeking creative dynamic and committed teachers to join our team at Bridlewood Community Elementary School.
Bridlewood Community Elementary School (BCES) has an enrollment of over 300 students. Our diverse student population represents many countries and cultures. Primary and Junior teachers meet to create support and review school initiatives. During these sessions staff members are involved in professional learning planning and the organization of cross-graded learning activities. This collaborative effort allows us to better meet the needs of our students.
Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Boards (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school and the District by creating a positive and inclusive school climate learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with a human rights and equity perspective to foster student success achievement and well-being.

All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.
If you are fully external to the OCDSB you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications. Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTOsis as follows:
1) current elementary occasional teacher applicants followed by
2) qualified external applicants.
Required Qualifications
OCT Divisional Qualifications: Primary & Junior
OCT Additional Qualifications: FSL Part 1
Additional Requirements (experience knowledge education) considered an asset for the Position:
* Spec Ed qualifications and experience teaching MFI and split grades would be considered an asset.
Additional Information:
*Core French to the grade 3/4 5 and 6 English homeroom classes in addition to Science and Social Studies to the MFI which is a 4/5/6 split.
*Possibility of extension until the end of the year.
*Lots of parking lovely single floor school in a great community with awesome staff!

1. At least three (3) teachers who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
2. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
