Now Hiring: CNC Lathe Set Up Operator
Location: Maple Grove MN
Shift: 6:45am 4:00pm Monday Thursday 6:45am-12pm Fridays
Pay: $25-$40/hr
Employment Type: Full time trial to hire!
About this Opportunity:
Atlas Staffing has partnered with a growing manufacturer of machined and assembled components using the CNC machine technologies including Swiss CNC Mori Seiki Lathes and Mills.
Our client is looking for experienced lathe operator to operate and maintain CNC equipment. As a CNC Lathe Set Up Operator you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to troubleshoot any machine issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
What Youll Be Doing:
Sets Up edit programs and run parts on CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls (G and M Code)
Reads and interprets technical drawings / Blueprints
Implements and maintains set up sheets for Manufacturing
Validates the NC code generated from the CNC program
Understanding of work holding
Collaborates with Engineering set-up techs and Machinists on new product Introduction and continuous improvement activities
Troubleshoots and resolves programming and machining problems as they arise
Assists Engineering/ Manufacturing / Quoting as needed Qualifications and Skills
Requirements for this position.
Double Spindle Double turret experience.
Triple turret experience a plus.
Mori Seiki and Nakamura lathe experience a plus.
Familiar with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
Understanding of Speeds and Feeds.
Extensive set-up experience with an understanding of tool centerline tool position squaring up tool holders tool touch off.
Creative thinking looking for solutions.
Understanding of inspection methods and equipment. Drop Mics bore gages micrometers pin mics thread gages etc.
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Extensive trouble shooting experience.
CNC programming a plus. Must have an understanding of G and M codes and editing.
Dedication and leadership characteristics.
Physical Demands:
Continuous mental and visual attention is needed.
Sit Stand talk and hear for the full shift
Lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to wear personal protective equipment
