Description

Over 2.5 years youll gain hands-on design experience through immersive training real-world projects and mentorship rotating through two 12-month design team assignments within the Commercial and Investment Bank. Your work will directly influence global financial services tools and platforms while being part of a collaborative design community in a respected firm. Joining our IDP Design Track offers the chance to create innovative solutions and collaborate with UX professionals with development through training and mentorship. Locations include Chicago New York Metro and Palo Alto.

As a Full-Time Analyst in the Commercial and Investment Bank Innovation Development Program - Design you will gain hands-on design experience through immersive training real-world projects and mentorship. You will rotate through two 12-month design team assignments within the Commercial and Investment Bank contributing to the complete user-centered design process. Your work will directly influence global financial services tools and platforms while being part of a collaborative design community in a respected firm. Help to shape the future of our digital products and services using your knowledge of design while you learn and develop within a collaborative and inclusive workplace

Job responsibilities

  • Begin with 5 months of Commercial and Investment Bank project-based learning diving into solving a complex business problem statement in an incubator environment and developing foundational knowledge of Product Management
  • Participate in two design focused 12-month rotations:
    • Design Experience: Contribute to the development of user-centric designs and apply your baseline knowledge of experience design principles
      • Assist in reviewing and refining storyboards wireframes and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and user journeys
      • Support the implementation of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design practices to ensure a seamless experience for diverse users
      • Participate in the collection and analysis of user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and iterate on design solutions
      • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with JPMC standards and adherence to documented UX parameters
    • Research Experience: Support research with survey and interview documentation and help gather data on customer needs and preferences during the study phase
      • Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze data identify patterns and derive insights with the guidance of more senior researchers
      • Collaborate with team members to produce research ideas to help better understand user needs and desires
      • Contribute to discussions with team and peers on foundational experience research matters and share your insights and recommendations for improvement

Required qualifications capabilities and skills:

  • Pursuing a bachelors degree in a relevant design discipline (e.g. Interaction Design HCI User Experience Design) or related field (e.g. Business Administration Psychology Sociology Anthropology Engineering Communications etc.)
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for design in driving business transformation and product development
  • Expected graduation date of December 2025 June 2026
  • Fluency in English
  • A digital portfolio showcasing a breadth of experience across design process phases
  • Foundational communication and presentation skills including articulating the rationale behind design decisions

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:

  • Baseline knowledge or equivalent expertise in user experience research methods including data gathering analysis and interpretation techniques
  • Baseline knowledge or equivalent expertise in interaction design information architecture and visual design principles
  • Experience using industry-standard design tools (e.g. Figma Zoom)
  • Developing understanding of Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
  • Experience with survey and interview-based design research with a focus on deriving insights to inform user experience design decisions
