SUMMARY
The role should be a cross-functional business partner to work closely with marketing and eCommerce team and provide financial partnership in financial planning budgeting cost control and investment studies analyses etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning & Business Partnering
- Provide advice and decision support to the function leadership team through financial steering and planning performance tracking business analysis budgeting and forecasting process and performance management.
- Further enhance marketing investment analysis to measure and enhance marketing campaign effectiveness and ROI and lead quarterly Marketing Budget (MB) review meeting to focus on MB efficiency.
- Lead communication cross functionally for alignment to generate company level forecast in Sales Margin Marketing budget BA (Beauty Advisor) GE and company SOI (P&L).
- Prepare variance analysis budget/ forecasting vs. actual closing on monthly basis and focus areas to improve.
- Lead various simulation analysis for business impact on ad-hoc projects and detect possibility to improve profitability.
- Lead financial analysis on brand performance across channels to identify growth drivers margin leakages and competitive gaps.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support long-term strategic planning (e.g. new market entry product launch profitability pricing strategy optimization) aligned with global brand objectives.
- Ensure margin transparency including product mix and variance. Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to analyze COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) trends inventory turnover and supplier cost efficiency ensuring alignment with luxury positioning and margin targets.
- Monitor and report on key luxury skincare industry KPIs and benchmark against competitors to inform business decisions.
- Drive data-driven insights through visualization tools to simplify complex financial information for cross-functional stakeholders.
Process Improvement
- Monitor and proactively support related RCM implementation esp. P2P and internal audit preparation and follow-ups.
- Simplify internal process with cross-functional cooperation/ alignment.
Team Development
- Lead one business analyst focusing on domestic sales and distribution
- Develop team with clear development plan.
- Timely feedback to team on continuous improvement and capability enhancement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of work experience in finance with preference for retail luxury/ cosmetics or FMCG exposure.
- Prior work experience in one of the BIG 4 audit firm is preferred.
- Lead person in business controlling marketing controlling or eCommerce controlling.
- Challenging business partner with strong analytical skills and hands-on mentality.
- Collaborative team player with different cross-functional teams with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Self-motivated pro-active drive to achieve deliverables even under tight schedules.
- Excellent both spoken & written English communication skills.
- Advanced MS Excel and working knowledge of SAP is highly appreciated.
- Strong business acumen to translate financial data into actionable strategic recommendations for luxury brand growth.
