Job Description

Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Solar Retrofit Project

Location: Chatham VA
Schedule:
Day Shift 50-60 Hours/Week

A clean energy infrastructure construction firm is hiring Journeyman Electricians for a 4.4 MW commercial solar project in Chatham VA. The company delivers full design-build services and self-performs key trades across utility-scale and distributed energy projects nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform retrofit work at electrical panels
  • Install and route power to inverters junction boxes transformers and solar panels
  • Read and work from electrical plans and schematics
  • Ensure installations meet NEC and job specifications
  • Collaborate with the site team to maintain workflow and safety

Requirements:

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience
  • Commercial or solar electrical background
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems

Additional Details:

  • Out-of-town workers provided with hotel and $40/day per diem
  • Long-term project with consistent 50-60 hours per week

Pay: $34 - $38.75/hr weekly pay
