Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching; ability to establish relationships and maintain standards of behavior; willingness to be flexible with daily schedule changes and duties unrelated to original assignment.
Patience flexibility love for children confidentiality teamwork self-starter take direction easily excellent communication skills and behavior management skills.
Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion respect responsibility self discipline and honesty.
Specific Tasks:
Filling daily vacancies or other duties as assigned throughout the building. Effectively manage students. Assume duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher as assigned. Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher. Supervise and ensure the safety of students during classroom hours. Maintain a positive learning environment. Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher. Supervise non-classroom duties when assigned.
Hours Per Day:
Temporary assignment for the 25-26 school year only.
7.5 hours per day
Assigned to Early Childhood for all student contact days.
