Job Description

Profile Summary

We are seeking an experienced FX Spot Trader to support our night trading operations covering G10 and emerging market (EM) currencies. This role focuses on servicing customer desks executing order flows and managing a global order book.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute FX trades across G10 and EM currencies.
  • Manage a global order book in line with established global protocols to ensure high-quality client service.
  • Provide timely accurate and competitive pricing to salesdesks branches subsidiaries and other treasury centres.
  • Collaborate with traders and sales teams across global centres to share trading ideas and market insights.
  • Support sales business performance by achieving allocated trading targets.
  • Operate within assigned trading limits and comply with all regulatory standards.
  • Proactively inform management of any significant changes in trading positions profitability or market conditions.
  • Serve as backup for the FX trading function during absences.
  • Night Shift Hours: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM London time in winter / 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM in summer.

Qualifications Skills and Experience

  • Strong and current understanding of the FX business with demonstrated experience in voice FX spot markets and client order execution (essential)
  • Proficient in financial control and risk management through FX platforms (essential)
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant trading regulations (essential)
  • Effective communicator across departments and global locations (essential)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of treasury products and markets
  • Collaborative approach with a focus on team success
  • Strategic mindset to support service excellence
  • Proven ability to innovate drive change and resolve challenges
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and product enhancement
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to generate P&L
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
