In this role you will be responsible for shipping world-class user experiences and act as the voice of our end-users. As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will support testing of multiple features and drive the quality via extensive hands-on functional testing of user-facing features and systems via functional and automation-driven approaches. Youll need to take an active role in shaping the quality of our software. This will require deep integration with our development engineers developing test plans and user studies bug triaging and supporting design reviews. You should be able to communicate at a high level and dive into technical details with key partners or leaders. Your leadership skills will drive communication across multiple organizations negotiate various asks and cultivate growth within the team. Youll be responsible for bringing test cases functional and working through complex development cycles for multiple areas.
BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or a minimum of five years of professional experience
Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle testing methodologies and testing tools
Proactive self-starter with a keen eye for details with a focus on end-user experiences and the ability to go above and beyond to ensure a high-quality release
Experience developing detailed test plans assessing risks filing detailed bug reports and providing relevant data for test reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in writing and running detailed test plans; discovering and documenting software and hardware defects; prioritizing and escalating problems to peers and management driving their resolution
Troubleshoot triage and provide detailed debug information for expediting issue resolution
Ability to drive cross-functional communications understanding dependencies while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained
Cover a broad span of test areas involving functional performance and reliability testing
Hands-on experience working with AR/VR products and ecosystems
Knowledge of Apple Platform development and experience with testing consumer electronics mobile/console applications
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Swift and JavaScript
Experience in automating tests for Applications at both the UI and non-UI levels
Knowledge of Dashboards Apple Platform development using Xcode XCUITest and Swift
Experience with video streaming technology (ie AVC HEVC live streaming encoders) familiarity with new Media features such as Spatial Media and Apple Immersive videos.
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172100 and $305600 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
