Childrens Counsellor Early Intervention Specialist Service Caboolture
Employment Term: Permanent Part-Time (60.8 hours per fortnight)
Location: Caboolture
Remuneration: $51 p/hr Super NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team
The Early Intervention Specialist Counselling Service delivers intensive prevention and early intervention services for children young people and their families where children and young people have been identified as at high risk of child abuse and/or neglect and require significant support with an emphasis on providing play therapy as well as referral pathways where needed for the family.
This Childrens Counsellor position facilitates the development of quality practice and effective coordination of service delivery to vulnerable young peopleand their familiesaccessing the service.
In this role youll:
Provide direct service delivery to children young people and their families through intensive case management and support.
Provide direct service delivery to children young people and their families through individual family and/or group counselling.
Maintain systematic processes for case planning and case management
Use a variety of strategies to engage hard-to-reach families in particular Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families.
What makes a difference for us
Tertiary qualifications in Counselling Psychology Social Work Social Science or Human Services.
Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in providing counselling/therapy to children and young people
Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development and behavioural management strategies with an emphasis on issues related to trauma abuse and attachment.
Current Drivers Licence.
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Qualifications and experience in Child-Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) are highly desirable.
