Job Description
The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for an Elementary English Language Development (ELD) Teacher at Radio Park Elementary School.
The successfulcandidate will work closely with multilingual learners in Grades K-5 providing targeted instruction that builds English language proficiency while supporting students confidence growth and success across content areas. This position requires a deep understanding of language acquisition culturally responsive teaching practices and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all students and families feel valued and supported.
The successfulcandidate will also assist in assessing language proficiency levels monitoring student progress and contributing to individualized learning plans that reflect each learners strengths and needs. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging standards-aligned lessons that develop reading writing listening andspeaking skills in English. Collaboration with classroom teachers support staff building and district administrators local resources and families is essential to support students holistic growth.
Applicants should hold a valid elementary teaching certificate with an ESL or ELD endorsement and have experience working with elementary-aged students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong communication skills flexibility and a student-centered mindset are essential.
