Job Description
- Develop and Implement Frameworks:
- Define document and execute comprehensive data governance frameworks policies standards and procedures.

- Data Ownership & Stewardship:
- Establish and maintain clear data ownership and stewardship roles across business units.

- Policy & Compliance:
- Enforce data management and protection policies in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Data Quality & Integrity:
- Identify data quality improvement opportunities set KPIs and implement initiatives to enhance and monitor data quality throughout its life cycle.

- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Chair and guide the Data Governance Committee; provide coaching and guidance to business stakeholders to support data governance processes.

- Strategic Alignment:
- Ensure data governance strategies align with business objectives and support data-driven decision-making.

- Risk Management:
- Mitigate data-related risks by implementing appropriate controls and working with relevant teams to maintain compliance.

- Metadata Management:
- Promote and manage the ongoing documentation of data assets including maintaining data catalogues and dictionaries.

- Education & Culture:
- Foster a culture of data stewardship and continuous improvement by leading training and awareness initiatives for employees on data governance best practices.

- Technology Enablement:
- Evaluate select and implement data governance tools as needed to support program objectives.

- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Information Management Computer Science Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in data governance data management or related senior roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing policies processes and controls for end-to-end data management.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards regarding data privacy security and use.
- Strong stakeholder management communication and leadership skills including experience leading cross-functional projects or teams.
- Experience with metadata management data cataloguing and data quality management tools.
- Certification in Data Governance or Data Management (e.g. DM-BOK CDMP) is advantageous.
