Job Title: Senior Officer - Project
Job Location: Sangrur Punjab
Core Responsibilities
1. Government Liaison
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government departments (e.g. Block Development Office DWSS Panchayats ULBs).
- Facilitate approvals permissions and coordination required for project implementation.
- Represent the project in government meetings reviews and consultations.
2. Project Management
- Lead planning implementation and monitoring of project activities as per agreed timelines and targets.
- Supervise field teams to ensure quality delivery of interventions.
- Identify risks and challenges; proactively resolve on-ground operational issues.
- Conduct regular reviews and field visits to track progress.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit timely reports (weekly monthly quarterly) on project activities outputs and outcomes.
- Document best practices case studies and field learnings.
- Maintain project records MIS data and field documentation systematically.
4. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Engage with community leaders SHGs waste worker groups and other local stakeholders to ensure participation and ownership.
- Organize and facilitate meetings trainings and IEC activities as required.
Qualification and Experience
- Graduate in Social Work Rural Development Environment or related fields. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in development projects preferably in waste management livelihood or government liaison roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to read write and speak Punjabi fluently is mandatory.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively within the block and nearby areas.
- Strong leadership team management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and reporting formats.
- Knowing how to drive and having a two-wheeler is also mandatory
