As a member of Apples in-house IP Transactions team you will be working on complex SEP licensing matters. The ideal candidate will build on a strong foundation of SEP litigation and/or SEP licensing experience to become an expert in worldwide SEP licensing law and practice and apply that expertise in high-stakes negotiations. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires digging into patented technologies and related economics collaborating across teams planning communicating and executing complex negotiation strategies and negotiating and drafting the terms of licensing and other IP-related agreements. You will help formulate and drive strategy and provide counsel to clients at all levels of management.
8 years experience (at a major law firm and/or in-house) in patent litigation and/or IP licensing transactions.
Substantial experience resolving SEP disputes and negotiating SEP licenses.
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
Excellent communication analytical and organizational skills.
Degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207700 and $311600 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
