Job Description:
The L3Harris Surveillance and Automation Solutions Security team seeks an enthusiastic and fast learners with a keen eye for detail to join us in monitoring analyzing escalating and responding to security threats for our safety-critical air traffic control system. The ideal candidate will possess theoretical knowledge of SOC operations standard tools and best practices. If you work effectively under general direction communicate well within and beyond your immediate team engage with various levels of leadership and are dedicated to explaining interpreting information and improving processes and systems to achieve operational objectives this is a great role for you.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for analyzing and/or administering security controls for information systems.
- Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration modification destruction or disclosure.
- Research evaluate test recommend communicate and implement new security software or devices.
- Implements enforces communicates and develops security policies or plans for data software applications hardware and telecommunications.
- Manages the companys firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft destruction alteration or denial of access to information.
- Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge.
- Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.
- Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.
- Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines.
- Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.
Qualifications:
- Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Self-starter who demonstrates curiosity and initiative
- Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work onsite daily (M-F)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems including shell scripting.
- Security /Network or other related Security certifications
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role is $51000 - $94500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire schedule type and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
