We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our ERP Cloud - Service Engineering and Delivery Unit. Challenge yourself in the fast-paced world of cloud infrastructure and become an integral part of the group that directs SAPs strategy to move to the cloud.
What youll do
As a member of this team you will be responsible for system and landscape operations handling many challenging issues and projects in the newest SAP Cloud Technologies like HANA Fiori and NetWeaver/ABAP across multiple SAPs own datacenters and Hyperscalers like Azure GCP. Youll also be collaborating closely with IBP Product Development IBP Architecture Cloud Architecture and Cloud Infrastructure teams spread across various geographies.

What you bring
- 0-2 years of experience in similar role
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA or similar Database technologies.
- Own and handle operational tasks like Monitoring/Alert handling Incident Management Change Management System Installation Provisioning Life Cycle Management activities like Hotfixes/Patches and Upgrades.
- Update systems using Software Update Manager (SUM) SPAM/SAINT tool.
- Configure STMS dump analysis user and profile management.
- Performance monitoring and tuning.
- Support Continuity of Business and Contribute to Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux (SUSE/RHEL).
- Automation knowledge is an added advantage (Shell script Python Ansible etc.)
- Coordination with other support functions and the team to resolve the issues in a timely manner.
- Bachelors degree in information management Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exposure to ITIL/ITSM processes.
Tech youll learn
Excellent understanding of SAPs overall strategy as well as product strategy. Youll gain a deep understanding of the processes involved in identifying capturing evaluating retrieving and sharing knowledge within an organization. This includes learning how to ensure that valuable information is available in the right place and at the right time to enable informed decisions and improve efficiency. Youll learn how to effectively communicate and share perspectives ideas and experiences to enhance overall organizational knowledge. Youll become proficient in SAP Basis HANA automation tools and other internal tools. You will also learn more about security best practices.

The Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Cloud Delivery department as part of the ERP Cloud Delivery organization - is responsible for the complete life cycle management (planning production and operations) of SAPs IBP Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
The IBP Cloud Delivery and Operations department drives and executes all required activities based on an end-to-end approach and facilitates all functions from development engagement to cloud architecture design production life cycle management and other services of our productive customer landscapes.
