A Production Supervisor (Tractor Parts) oversees the daily operations of a tractor parts production line ensuring efficiency quality and safety standards are met.This involves managing staff coordinating production schedules monitoring processes and troubleshooting issues.They also play a key role in training inventory management and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and Coordinating Production Staff:This includes assigning tasks providing guidance and ensuring staff are properly trained to perform their duties.
- Monitoring Production Processes:Ensuring that production lines operate efficiently safely and within quality standards.
- Ensuring Quality Control:Implementing and enforcing quality control procedures to meet product specifications and address any quality issues.
- Managing Inventory:Tracking materials coordinating with supply chain for timely delivery of parts and minimizing waste.
- Maintaining a Safe Working Environment:Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
- Troubleshooting Production Issues:Identifying and resolving operational problems that may arise during the production process.
- Reporting Production Metrics:Tracking and reporting production data including output efficiency and quality to management.
- Training and Development:Training new employees providing ongoing support and fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Inventory Management:Ensuring optimal levels of raw materials components and finished goods are maintained to support production and minimize waste.
- Compliance:Ensuring compliance with company policies safety regulations and industry standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Leadership and Communication:Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a team as well as clear communication skills to interact with staff management and other departments.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:Ability to identify and resolve production issues analyze data and implement effective solutions.
- Technical Knowledge:Understanding of tractor parts manufacturing processes equipment and quality control procedures.
- Safety Awareness:Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Organizational Skills:Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Computer Literacy:Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for production planning reporting and inventory management.
- Experience:Previous experience in a production supervisory role preferably within the automotive or related industry.
