You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Juvenile Department is currently looking for our next Senior Juvenile Counselor - Harkins House to help us work towards themission of protecting the public by reducing delinquency and restoring victims and the community by holding youth accountable.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Juvenile Counselor will focus on providing mentoring coaching and training to personnel and interns. This position may also exercise functional/technical supervision on a limited basis. The role will provide leadership training and direction to staff in a residential facility. They will supervise youth in the facility and guide staff in effective behavioral management strategies. The position will be responsible for structuring shifts to ensure that youth are engaged in and receiving their required Behavioral Rehabilitation Services.
Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in working in a residential facility with youth who have complex needs in a trauma informed manner. Theywill be able to lead staff and effectively manage crisis situations. Experience working in a Behavioral Rehabilitation Program is preferred.
