Are you ready to lead the heartbeat of our digital infrastructure Were seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to oversee the operations and maintenance of multiple mission-critical data centers and their supporting facilities. This is your opportunity to drive reliability security and scalability at the core of our network and systems.


As the Manager Data Center Operations & Field Operations youll take ownership of facility performance infrastructure integrity and cross-functional collaboration. Youll bring strategic vision and operational excellence to ensure our data centers run seamlesslysupporting critical services with unwavering uptime and efficiency.


What youll do:

  • Project & Infrastructure Management: Lead deployment pricing planning and documentation for data center and network infrastructure projects including customer initiatives and facility growth.
  • Operations & Maintenance Oversight: Monitor HVAC fire suppression electrical systems; coordinate preventative maintenance and subcontractor activities; oversee fiber optic line repairs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams and departments to streamline procedures support budgeting and scheduling and execute expansion or upgrade projects.
  • Documentation & Policy Development: Maintain records update facility/network drawings assist with quotes and implement policies to improve departmental efficiency.
  • Team Leadership & Support: Train and mentor regional technicians and engineering staff; provide backup support for facilities personnel and assist with field operations.
  • Occasional travel to customer locations locally as well as travel between our Southeast Michigan data centers located in Auburn Hills Belleville and Southfield is required.
Requirements

Experience:

  • 6 Years experience working in data centers and/or experience with data center infrastructure to include electrical HVAC fire suppression and security systems required.
  • 2 Years of leadership experience required.
  • Knowledge of planning and construction management processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of estimating budgeting and scheduling practices.
  • Understanding of fiber optic technology including single-mode and multi-mode fibers.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree (or higher) or 4 years professional work experience

Required License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Valid drivers license and insurance.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands


This position may be performed in either a standard office setting or a home office environment. It requires prolonged periods of sitting frequent use of a computer and other office equipment and effective time management in a self-directed work environment. Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds may be required.
