Job Description

  • Manage and supervise all tasks of his/her staff
  • Ensure cleanliness of guest rooms guest room balconies guest corridors linen rooms and housekeeping pantries according to set standards and procedures
  • Ensure that guest supplies are replenished
  • Ensure guests requests are promptly and courteously met
  • Report damage or malfunction in hotel rooms using the PMS system
  • Maintain equipment in a proper state of cleanliness and repair
  • Maintain a section floor report
  • Conduct daily briefings with staff at the floor level
  • Conduct regular room checklists
  • Report unusual behavior/activities on floors to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager
  • Record room status in the allocated section accurately
  • Comply with the hotels health safety and hygiene policies
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required
  • Fully understand the difference in guest levels (VIP) and in-room categories

Qualifications :

  • Good eye for details.
  • Working knowledge of housekeeping and hotel services policies and operations.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Degree in hospitality management preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in housekeeping with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle guest complaints effectively.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals proper handling and safety procedures.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Bilingual skills (English and another relevant language) are a plus.
  • Experience with inventory management and budgeting for housekeeping supplies.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor housekeeping staff.
