Reconcile and validate database periodically based on client deliverables.
Produce client and team administrative reports with use of data extracts in Excel.
Participate in yearend activities including data updates validations reconciliations annual pension statements and fillings.
Prepare valuation data and coordinate with Third-Party Actuary to complete process.
Work with IT department and administration team to develop implement and test database enhancements.
Determine fund rate of return for DC clients (monthly and annual) if applicable.
Participate in implementations of new clients.
Assist with team project work.
Help maintain administrative macros/tools Microsoft Excel calculators and Word Merge templates.
Assist in technical training for the team.
Determine pension entitlements on death disability retirement termination and marriage breakdown in accordance with specific Plan provisions government legislation requirements and current service standards.
Prepare monthly bulk authorization payment files for review by team using data extracts from case management system and database.
Assist senior members of the team during peer review processes.
Bachelors degree in business computer science or mathematics preferred.
2 years of analyst and/or implementation experience.
Expert level skills in Excel (must be able to build analyze troubleshoot and resolve issues independently).
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word-Merge.
Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
Sound knowledge of pension related terminology.
Strong organizational skills the ability to prioritize and multi-task and the ability to manage time effectively to meet conflicting and numerous deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills written and oral.
Excellent work ethic and accountability.
The ability to maintain good public relations both within and outside the organization.
The ability to function with a high degree of independence and considerable discretion.
The ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures.
The ability to use tact and discretion to maintain information in the strictest of confidence.
French fluency including strong written and verbal communication skills is preferred for this role.
