Nature of Work
A Health Assistant provides individual student and school support work for Bethel School District. The primary purposes of the position are to provide basic first aid follow direction and instruction from district registered nurse. and manage student health records. The position requires considerable contact with students teachers administrators and parents. Tasks assigned require specific training regarding health issues and medication administration. Other tasks require oral or written instructions on what is to be accomplished.

Selection Factors
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous training and experience in office/clerical work preferably in a health services environment. Possession of or plan to obtain a valid first aid/CPR certificate. Possession of a valid Oregon drivers license.
Upon offer of employment applicants must obtain a fingerprint clearance from the Oregon Department of Education through a process authorized by the Bethel School District. Applicants would be responsible for the one-time fingerprint clearance fee.
