The Art & Design Department at Arapahoe Community College is accepting applications for part-time Instructors to teach in the Construction Management Program during the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.
Candidates must be able to teach at both the Littleton Campus and the Sturm Collaboration Campus at Castle Rock. Finalistmust be willing to make Colorado theirprimary workplaceincluding foronline courses.
This posting will be used to fill multiple part-time Instructor vacancies. The application period is expected to close August 31 2025. Finalist must be willing to make Colorado their primary workplace including for online courses.

Face-to-face instruction delivery - Littleton Campus

This course covers basic construction estimating.Studentswill develop skills in estimating the amount and cost ofvarious constructions.Theywilldemonstratethese skills by making estimates of material and laborquantities and cost for representative types of construction.
Part-time Instructors provide instructional duties for the College in their respective areas of expertise. They report to the department chair within the discipline and do not have any supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include instruction student assessment and other related instructional duties. Instructional delivery may include face-to-face hybrid and online. Classes may be held days evenings and weekends.
The instructor must be patient and respectful while also providing their expectations for what is considered acceptable work. The instructor must display dedication to the class as well as the goals of the program.
Bachelors degree or higher inConstruction Managementor a related subfield; OR
Current professional licenseinConstruction
Have or qualify for a postsecondary CTE credential including 4000 non-teaching occupational hours within the last 7 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five or more years of professional experience in construction estimating cost control or project management including residential and commercial projects.
Demonstratedproficiencyin current industry-standard estimating software (e.g. BluebeamRSMeans or equivalent).
Familiarity with the CSIMasterFormatDivisions and construction documentation.
Strong understanding of building codespermittingprocesses and bond requirements as they relate to cost estimation.
Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and recap sheets for both residential and commercial projects.
Experience teaching or training in construction management or estimating particularly at the community college or technical education level.
