About the role:
The Principal Planner Global Distribution Planning collaborates with Divisional Regional and Country level SC Planning counterparts and serves as a bridge between BSC Planning Distribution (Inbound Outbound Transportation) Manufacturing and Sterilization to proactively manage & maintain finished goods inventory movements throughout the BSC network with an objective of driving supply chain efficiencies. Helps expand the end to end thinking and agility across the supply chain network while supporting our global BSC sustainability initiatives. This role will support global finished goods inventory flows.
Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. This role requires an hybrid workmode from our Quincy MA location.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyze data and trends to identify drivers of inefficiency in the flow of finished goods throughout the BSC network leveraging knowledge of how planning processes impact internal distribution center operations and transportation density utilization
- Build business cases for change based on well-developed analyses and execute on projects to improve cost service quality and sustainability metrics
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the flow of finished goods through the BSC network to optimize end-to-end costs
- In collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders develop and implement documented standard work in improve the quality and consistency of outcomes
- In partnership with Analytics team develop and implement KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of the network
Required qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business or related field required
- 7 years professional experience in a manufacturing / planning / operations function
- Knowledge in utilizing ERP systems (i.e. SAP) or planning systems (i.e. Kinaxis)
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive change within a matrixed organization
Preferred qualifications:
- Solid understanding of distribution center processes and transportation concepts
- Understand Quality Requirements: ISO and CGMP
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex data sets building business cases and executing on improvement opportunities
- Strong analytical skills including experience in using data analytics tools (SQL Alteryx etc.)
- Is detail oriented & possesses exemplary organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly adaptable to accept new ideas people processes and procedures
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive change within a matrixed organization

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see --will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly) non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for exempt non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
