Construction Estimator

This position earns a competitive salary of $700000 per year. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
As a Construction Estimator you play a critical role in preparing and organizing financial data for all stages of a project. You consult with clients vendors and your colleagues on the sales and estimating teams to formulate accurate and comprehensive estimates. Using your analytical thinking you manage multiple stages of the bidding process including prequalifying potential bidding opportunities preparing takeoffs putting together bids reviewing contracts and making adjustments to estimates. You are also involved in the project management process by assisting with the preparation of contracts shop drawings submittals and close-out documents. You are the bridge between many aspects of our projects and you enjoy coordinating with your team and our clients. You feel great about the work you do to bring our company business and contribute to our success!
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- MUST have at least 2 years of estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge about construction processes.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Computer skills.
Knowledge about the construction business would be a plus. Experience with cost analysis is required.
