Enbridge is looking for a Specialist I TIS Solution Developmentin our Houston Texas office.
This position will be responsible for development and support of applications for Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) Commercial Marketing/Business Development and GTM Customer Service Operations including the critical LINK application that impacts business and operational decisions.

What You Will Do:
Apply gas business knowledge and technical expertise to develop and support complex software solutions for critical commercial business applications to include but not limited to programming testing and debugging software.
Implement all phases of the life cycle which include systems analysis requirement gathering designing developing maintaining and documenting.
Work closely with our business users to determine and fully understand their functional and data requirements for new or existing processes and translates to technical specifications.
Responsible for ensuring client priorities are being set and met appropriately.
Identify and drive process improvement opportunities and implements solutions utilizing current and emerging technologies.
Conduct issue reviews and determines strategies to prevent problem re-occurrences.
Address technical strategies to ensure adherence to security business continuity and compliance requirements.
Analyze software performance and assists in establishing acceptable performance levels.
Work closely with other developers and quality assurance analysts.
Who You Are:
Required:
You have University degree in computer science or similar.
You have 6 years of application development experience.
Strong analytical problem-solving and technical skills
Experience in web application development and implementation of an N-Tier architecture based and end-to-end solution.
Experience in developing complex applications with Java web services CSS XML/XSLTHTML JavaScript JUnit and Oracle SQL.
Experience with object-oriented programming software design patterns Spring framework data structures and algorithms multithreading and synchronization and performance tuning.
Experience with full software development life cycle including working with coding standards source code management repository and unit testing
Preferred
Experience developing critical gas pipeline transmission and storage applications is considered an Asset.
Broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques such as JSON ORM C#IIS
Experience with DevOps CI/CD and automated test execution experience with tools such as GIT Azure DevOps Ansible.
Experience with IT operations automation Cloud computing and monitoring and logging.
Strong customer service focus in understanding and meeting the needs of our business partners

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion typing sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding reads fine print) hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
