Oracles Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Description
Compute Data Plane is responsible for designing and developing core functions for Virtual Machine Infrastructure (VMI) Disaster Recovery Systems OS Images and Agents. The fundamental architectural components include for VM delivery for CPU and GPU workloads OS images for Oracle Linux Ubuntu Debian and Windows Oracle Cloud Agent that provides manageability of all hosts Automated recovery automation for any region during any unforeseen outages health monitoring triage automation and diagnostic services. All these services are essential for our customers to run distributed application workloads across thousands of VMs leveraging technologies latest virtualization technologies.
OCI is looking for a hands-on lead systems engineer within the Compute Data plane team in Compute Org. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of building a cutting-edge orchestration building automated recovery systems developing ultra-high-performance VMI platform designed to support millions of VMs running on thousands of Hypervisors supporting hundreds of customer workloads.
This high-visibility and high-impact role will help shape our future infrastructure business and enable growth. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across all cross-organizational functions to deliver results.

Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79800 to $178100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
