Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

International Production Operations is responsible for distribution of NFL content to international broadcast partners around the world. This department works with each NFL intl rights holder to coordinate delivery of content lining up with their respective rights agreement and supports live onsite broadcasts in the US and overseas. Delivery of NFL contents consists of sending games/programs/footage across satellite fiber and SRT platforms. Intl Production Operations works closely with other NFL departments and the 32 clubs to best present the NFL continually working with our partners to enhance the delivery of NFL games and tentpole events to the intl audience and to meet the evolving needs and expectations of our fan base.

The Manager of Intl Production Operations will work directly with the Senior Director to coordinate to support production and delivery of NFL content globally to partners. The position will also manage live onsite broadcasts supporting crews on the ground with production and credential needs.

Responsibilities

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Manage delivery of NFL content globally including key markets located in; North America South America EMEA & APAC
  • Maintaining day-to-day communication with NFLs intl partners on game selections production elements game day operations commercial break administration and broadcast access policies
  • Liaise with NFL departments (Events Credentials and Operations depts.) and NFL Clubs operation teams to support on-site productions at remote NFL events (i.e. International Games Super Bowl Draft etc.)
  • Coordinate with network partners and outside facilities to distribute NFL content globally and support live transmissions while in progress to ensure highest quality experience for each taker
  • Working across partners NFL departments (Football Operations Events Club Business Officiating Security Sponsorship etc.) and NFL clubs to ensure that all NFL game broadcasts are the best of class and support the NFLs broader objectives
  • Representing broadcast priorities in the ongoing expansion and evolution of the NFLs international games and other tentpole events
  • Contributing to analysis of major departmental initiatives and preparation of presentation materials for internal League and partner meetings

The Manager Intl Production Operations will contribute towards the key functional areas of the NFL Intl Operations Department:

  • Weekly Broadcast Operations / Game Day Support
    • Manage relationships with intl rights holders network partners NFL teams and their stadiums internal NFL departments to support the international broadcast productions of NFL games.
    • Support operational and production elements around game broadcasts leading up to all NFL game windows for intl rights holders.
    • Serve as a primary contact to address game day issues related to game broadcasts during all NFL game windows.
    • Support administration credentialling and onsite support as needed.
  • Onsite Games and Tentpole Events
    • Collaborate with intl rights holders network partners NFL Events stadiums/venues and host committees to support production operations for tentpole NFL events (i.e. Kickoff International Games Thanksgiving & Christmas Games Pro Bowl Games Super Bowl Combine Draft FLAG Championships etc.)
  • Game of the Future
    • Support development of broadcast production innovation technological game advancements and enhanced feed distribution across all network partners and intl rights holders to ensure best broadcast experience for intl fans.
    • Contribute towards cross-departmental competitive enhancements in NFL games integrating broadcast partners into those solutions.
  • Offseason Projects
    • Support various offseason projects including the NFLs universal game credentialing system network offseason content capture and summer seminars to prepare broadcast partners for the upcoming season.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5 years in sports broadcast or other analytical or project management roles
  • Knowledge of current sports broadcast production operations and/or content delivery methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Teams etc.)

  • Committed team player with a can-do attitude and willingness to take on any tasks required in the moment
  • Ability to implement and meet deadlines and manage projects towards those deadlines
  • Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with extreme attention to detail in a fast-paced high-pressure live-event environment
  • Ability to collaborate with all personalities at all levels of the organization and with external vendors and partners
  • Multi-lingual a plus

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes in good faith at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Regular travel around planning and execution of NFL games and events domestic and international
  • Evening weekend holiday and extra work hours around NFL games event commitments and deadlines

At the NFL in-person work at our offices is a top priority because it allows us to collaborate more effectively build stronger connections and maintain the culture that drives our success. This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
