Job Description
Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering fabrication and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Apprentice Pipefitters to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie AB.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lays out assembles fabricates maintains troubleshoots and repairs piping systems carrying water steam chemicals and fuel in heating cooling lubricating and other process piping systems
- Reads and interprets drawings blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Selects type and size of pipe required
- Measures cuts and threads pipe to required dimensions using hand and power tools
- Tack welds and threads joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
- Installs supports valves piping and control systems
- Tests system for leaks using testing equipment
- Cleans and maintains pipe units and fittings and flush systems
- Removes and replaces worn components and reactivates systems
- Listen and be receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals action plans and timelines for project completion.
- Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program.
Qualifications:
- Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or
- Be a registered apprentice.
- Motivated and willing to learn.
- As a condition of employment employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
