Job Description
A&K Railroad Materials is a leading supplier of new and used railroad track materials serving customers globally. With sales offices and a network of strategically located storage and distribution facilities A&K maintains one of the industrys most extensive inventories of new relay and specialty trackwork worldwide. Our mission is to develop innovative long-lasting solutions that support and strengthen railway infrastructure in key market segments.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level International Sales and Service Representative to join our business-to-business sales team. This is a growth-oriented position designed to provide hands-on experience in the railroad track material industry and serve as a steppingstone to a future international sales role.
You will work closely with account representatives managers and officers to learn the fundamentals of A&Ks sales operations logistics customer service and international project coordination. This is a unique opportunity to build industry knowledge and contribute to expanding global market in a mature domestic market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support international sales representatives by managing customer inquiries preparing quotes and processing and tracking sales orders.
- Collaborate with international sales managers on large-scale projects and strategic bids.
- Learn to prepare accurate and competitive quotations using internal software tools.
- Gain product knowledge and develop familiarity with our inventory of rail and track materials.
- Analyze and report on competitive trends and market data.
- Engage with logistics and shipping functions to support international transactions and customer needs.
- Maintain strong internal communication with sales teams and other departments to ensure client satisfaction.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales operations or supply chain management preferably in manufacturing construction or other like industry.
- Bachelors degree in business administration marketing communications or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency required (Spanish Portuguese).
- Strong interest in international sales logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (0-10%).
