Job Description
Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) seeks an accomplished and visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead the future of our Kubernetes platform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this strategic leadership role you will guide the design delivery and operational excellence of mission-critical container orchestration services empowering global enterprises with highly available secure and innovative cloud-native solutions.
As Director of Software Engineering you will shape the technical direction and oversee the full lifecycle of Kubernetes and container platform initiatives within OCI. You will set ambitious goals for your organization ensuring alignment with OCIs broader objectives and delivering transformative solutions that drive business outcomes. By fostering an inclusive high-performance culture you will inspire and mentor a team of talented engineering leaders and software professionals empowering them to deliver at scale and execute with precision.
Your responsibilities will include championing technical excellence operational effectiveness and customer-centric innovation across the OKE team. Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders you will identify opportunities to advance the platform optimize reliability and accelerate delivery. You will rigorously manage resource allocation talent development and performance ensuring your teams have clear direction and are poised for continued professional growth.
A key aspect of this role involves cultivating a strong leadership pipeline within OKE. You will be instrumental in identifying developing and retaining top-tier engineering talent leading byexample to promote continuous learning technical mastery and strategic thinking. Responsibilities
As Director of Software Engineering you will oversee the design development and delivery of highly available Kubernetes services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will set strategic technical direction foster collaboration across engineering and product teams and drive initiatives to enhance platform reliability security and scalability. Additionally you will mentor and develop engineering talent promote operational excellence and ensure alignment with Oracles business and organizational goals.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122500 to $291800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus equity and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
