Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Communication- The student worker will gain skills and knowledge in communication by working at the job site with EUMA professional staff. Equity and Inclusion: The student worker will work in an environment that engages with people from different local and global cultures. They will support the organizations mission to assist all people in the community to end homelessness. This position is for a student to work as an intern with the Erie United Methodist Alliance. The student will work under the direction of the EUMA staff and will assist the organization in advancing their mission and meeting client needs. EUMAs mission is to end homelessness in Northwest Pennsylvania by making it a rare brief and one-time experience. Some physical demands may be necessary as part of role and program the student worker is assigned to work on.

Required Qualifications
Students must qualify through filing a FAFSA and have an unmet financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The student must be able to provide their transportation to and from the job site.

Preferred Qualifications
-An interest and passion for helping others especially those experiencing homelessness. Willing to commit up to 20 hours per week based on their schedule. -Self-starter motivated. -Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills. -Comfortable working with a diverse population and client base. -Ability to lead and supervise small groups.
